According to the Christian Science Monitor, smart phone sales are now outpacing traditional “feature phones” (which previously replaced household “landlines”).  What new users do with those phones is exceedingly important for web developers and website owners.  Smart phones users are now purchasing billions of dollars of goods & services online, through their phone!  Mobile transactions are expected to exceed 1 Trillion Dollars by the year 2015, and  Google has created a mobile payment system called “Wallet” hoping to replace your Credit Cards, Coupons, ID’s and Keys with your smart phone. What this means to the website designer (or owner) is thatif a website doesn’t have downloadable software or links for smartphones, online sales for its viewers will go to the competition. Protect your business, be prepared!
